Services are being conducted by the Rev. Doyle Coody at Golden Funeral Chapel. Interment is set for Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. A native of Hamburg, Ark., he had lived in Bastrop for the past 47 years. He was a retired cafe owner and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Eleanor; one brother, David Curtis; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Jackson of Bastrop and Mrs. Neva Kees of Oil City, La.
