Monday, February 9, 2015, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Fowler and Bro. Andy Myrick officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery in Bastrop, LA. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Sunday, February 8, 2015, at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Crain was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He worked as a supervisor for IMC chemical plant and was an employee there for 36 years. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church where he was active until his declining health. Mr. Crain was also an active member of the Twin City Classic Chevy Car Club of Monroe, LA, where he enjoyed club activities in his 1955 Chevy. He was an avid outdoorsman and duck hunter which he passed along to his grandson Nicholas. Mr. Crain is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marie Crain; daughter, Monica Riggin and husband Lee of Sterlington, LA; grandson, Nicholas Freeland and wife Jenna of Sterlington, LA; great granddaughters, Allie Grace and Bayleigh Faith Freeland. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dalton and Wonzie Crain and one sister, Geraldine Crain Yarbrough. Serving as pallbearers will be Horace Cheney, Hilary Duncan, Hugh Herrington, Charles Arant and Bobby Hobson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Bennett and Dr. Carter Cox.
