He was born October 27, 1933 to Zelma Hughes Day and Robert Henry Day and step- mother Virginia Youngblood Day. Many knew him as Sonnyboy or Frank. He served his counrty in the United States Army and he is a retiree of the Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Department and Texas Gas Transmission Corp. He retired after 37 years as district supervisor. He then started Day Quarter Horse Ranch but due to the decline in the value of horses he retired it.
