He was a skilled carpenter by trade, loved hot rod automobiles and spent many hours over the years fine tuning the engines of all autos he owned. In early years, he was always interested in a street drag race challenge. Bluegrass and gospel were the music he most enjoyed. He and Maxine made many fun trips to bluegrass music festivals in Mountain View, AR. An avid outdoorsman, Dalton loved hunting, fishing, camping, and scouring the woods for dogwoods, muscadines, scuppernongs, and briefly dabble in the art of crafting homemade muscadine wine. Dalton was a faithful member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church. He had a sweet demeanor, playful sense of humor, and was loved by all the people who truly knew him. He dearly loved his Searcy family brothers and sisters-in-law. His loving presence is and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Twin Oaks Baptist Church followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at the church.
