BETTY BENEFIELD DREHER


Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Benefield Dreher are scheduled for 11:00 AM 
Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Naff Avenue Church of Christ, with Bro. Jeff 
Maxwell officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM 
until time of service.

Mrs. Dreher was born on August 22, 1938, and passed from this life on Friday, 
August 19, 2022, at the age of eighty- three. Mrs. Dreher was a graduate of 
Louisiana Tech University. She also obtained a masters, plus thirty, at 
Northeast Louisiana University. Mrs. Dreher taught school for over thirty years 
in Morehouse Parish and was a devoted member of the Ladies Auxiliary at 
Morehouse General Hospital for over twenty years. 

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Dreher Yokum (Greg), of Austin, TX; sons, 
Glen Dreher, Jr. of Bastrop, LA, Paul Dreher (Kelly), of Kenner, LA, David 
Dreher of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Zachery Dreher, Joshua Dreher (Teena), 
Aaron Dreher (Remi), Kadi Malek (George), Kristen Kleinschrodt (Brian), Karoline 
Diperna (Gabe), Thomas Dreher (Ashley), Celeste Dreher, Ryan Yokum, Ethan Yokum; 
and thirteen great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, Guy W. Benefield; mother, Betty L. 
Benefield; brother, David Benefield; husband, Glen A Dreher, Sr; and son, Allen 
Keith Dreher.

Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Dreher, David Dreher, Thomas Dreher and Greg 
Yokum. Honorary pallbearers are Ryan Yokum, Ethan Yokum, and Glen Harper.
