Wayne Deslattes and Rev. Noah Hutson officiating. Interment will follow in Mer Rouge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 8 PM Friday, November 25, 2016 at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Farrar, an apprentice for Twin City Electrical Company through the IBEW Apprentice Program, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016. He was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church and attended Faith Baptist Church and Kingston Road Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA. He loved hunting, fishing and riding four wheelers with his friends. He also had a love for pets and children and had a heart of gold and would do anything to help others. He is survived by his parents, David J. Farrar and wife Lynn of Shreveport, LA, Martha Anderson and husband Andy of Bastrop, LA; grandparents, Horace Farrar and wife Janet of Bastrop, LA; half-sisters, Tosha Tipton, Brittany Thornhill, Chelsea McLain, Carley Smith all of Monroe, LA; step-sisters, Mandy Anderson of Denver, Colorado, Megan Shirley of Ruston, LA, Kristen Blake of Ruston, LA, Ashlea Blake of Thibodeaux, LA; step-brothers, Nicholas Blake of Monroe, LA, Richard Anderson of West Monroe, LA; birth mother, Bonnie Redmond; very special friend, Kirkland Middlebrooks and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Mr. Farrar is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Helen Malloy and Dave and Lillian Justice. Serving as pallbearers will be Kirkland Middlebrooks, Aaron Wood, Keaton Hunt, Jonathan Malloy, Jamous Bray, Nolan Whorton, Jacob Farrar, Kolton Farrar and Eric Malloy. Honorary pallbearers will be the students of the NECA Apprenticeship Program.
