Jerry Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Farrar, a retired painter and employee of IPCO, died Jan. 19, 2004 at Morehouse General Hospital. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, the VFW, the American Legion and Disabled Veterans. He was also a W.W.II veteran in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Farrar and a daughter, Sandra Jackson. He is survived by three daughters, Carol Silmon and husband Wayne of Bastrop, Elain Crainshaw and husband Larry of West Monroe and Gloria McDowell and husband Carlton of Bastrop; five sons, James Farrar and wife Connie of Bossier City, Glynn Farrar and wife Sharon of Bastrop, Ricky Farrar and wife Dianne of Bastrop, David Farrar and wife Cindy of Bastrop, and Gary Farrar and wife Elizabeth of Bastrop; four sisters, Zephie Curtain of Monroe, Claudine Farrar of Shreveport, Clara Raye Harrell of West Monroe and Jean Rogers of West Monroe; 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will bed Larry Crainshaw, Justin Crainshaw, Robert Silmon, Johnny Owens, Mike Tubbs and Danny McGrew.
