COX FUNERAL HOME
BASTROP, LOUISIANA
Ashton Heath Fortune was born in Bastrop, Louisiana on August 6, 1998. He passed 
away unexpectedly at home in Bastrop on January 3, 2026. He is preceded in death 
by his father, Lee Ashley Fortune; and his grandparents, Marie Pruitt Fortune 
and B.F. Fortune, Jr. Ashton was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of 
Latter Day Saints and a graduate of the University View Academy.
He is survived by his mother, Debbie Fortune; his sister, Ashley Diane Fortune; 
and four brothers, Jason Allen Fortune, Brandon Lee Fortune and wife Sarah Elee, 
Kamron Lane Fortune, and Matthew Floyd; four nieces, Isabella Fortune, 
Annaclaire Fortune, Adaleigh Fortune, and Katie Fortune; two nephews, Jase 
Fortune and Braxton Fortune; maternal grandmother, Glenda Holladay; aunt, 
Jennifer Savage; and uncle, John Savage.
Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, January 11, 2025, beginning at 
1:00 PM at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop followed by funeral 
services at 2:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Committal and interment will be 
at the Lick Prarie Cemetery, Crossett, Arkansas under the direction of Cox 
Funeral Home of Bastrop.
Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Fortune, Kamron Fortune, Matthew Floyd, 
Charles Longino, Larry Broussard, and Josh Richards.
