Jessie Lee Griffis Freeman
   
Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Lee Griffis Freeman, 77, of Monroe, will be 
held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2010 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
Sterlington Road, Monroe with the Rev. Don Holloway and the Rev. Johnny Miller 
officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. 
Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2010, at 
Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. 

Mrs. Freeman passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010, in Springdale, Ark. She was 
a member of New Hope Baptist Church and retired from the City of Monroe. 

Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Ouida Griffis; 
and two brothers, Clarence Griffis and Ralph Griffis. 

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, John Donald Freeman; two sons, John 
Freeman and wife Becky and Harold Freeman and wife Mickey; grandchildren, Dana 
Freeman, Michael Freeman, Adam Freeman, Gentry Freeman, Whitney Freeman, Ricky 
Naron and wife Angela, Cindy Seay and husband Eric, and Carrie Sullivan; great 
grandchildren, Chloe Freeman, M. J. Freeman, Kristen Smith and William Naron; 
brother, Calvin Griffis; two sisters, Colleene Irwin and Floy Powell; and two 
sisters-in-law, Kay Rowton and Melba Freeman; and numerous nieces, nephews, 
and friends.
