Don Holloway and the Rev. Johnny Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2010, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Mrs. Freeman passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010, in Springdale, Ark. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and retired from the City of Monroe. Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Ouida Griffis; and two brothers, Clarence Griffis and Ralph Griffis. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, John Donald Freeman; two sons, John Freeman and wife Becky and Harold Freeman and wife Mickey; grandchildren, Dana Freeman, Michael Freeman, Adam Freeman, Gentry Freeman, Whitney Freeman, Ricky Naron and wife Angela, Cindy Seay and husband Eric, and Carrie Sullivan; great grandchildren, Chloe Freeman, M. J. Freeman, Kristen Smith and William Naron; brother, Calvin Griffis; two sisters, Colleene Irwin and Floy Powell; and two sisters-in-law, Kay Rowton and Melba Freeman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
