BASTROP DAILY ENTERPRISE - JANUARY 8, 1977
MARY ELLA GILBERT

Mrs. Mary Ella Gilbert, age 49, of Monroe, died Wednesday at St. Francis 
Hospital, following a lengthy illness. She was a native and former resident of 
Oak Rdige.

Funeral services will be held at Martin Temple C.M.E. Church, 907 Adams street 
in Monroe at 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial will follow in the Richwood Cemetery, Monroe, 
under the direction of Miller's Funeral Home

Mrs. Gilbert was employed at Northeast Louisiana University prior to her illness

Survivors include her husband, Bennie Lee Gilbert of Monroe; three sons, Eugene
Gilbert of Oakland, Calif., Johnnie Jones, Jackson Tenn and Maurice Gilbert of 
Monroe; her mother, Mrs. Gener Jones of Oakland Calif. five brothers, Arthur 
Jones Joseph Jones and Emmett Jones all of Bastrop, Leonard Jones and Roosevelt 
Jones both of Bastrop, a sister, Mary Eliza Washington of Oakland Calif. and 
three grandchildren
