GOLEMAN Funeral services for Mr. James R. Goleman, age 89, are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, September 4, at Bastrop United Pentecostal Church with Bishop Arrie Fulton and Rev. Dwight Fulton officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 8 PM Monday, September 3 at Bastrop United Pentecostal Church. Mr. Goleman was born in Baskin, LA, October 14, 1928 and he passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018. He was employed by International Paper Company and the City of Bastrop when he retired. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a faithful member of Bastrop United Pentecostal Church for many years. He truly loved his church family. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette “Jean” Goleman; sons, Jim Goleman and wife Robin, Donnie Goleman; grandchildren, Shane Goleman and wife Hannah, Lara Goleman, Dana Goleman, Chris Thompson and wife Jessie, T.J. Goleman and wife Gee-Gee, Kalynn Fuller and husband Joseph, Brooke Sims and husband Toney, Jim Goleman and wife Holly, Paige Rexwinkler and husband K.J.; great grandchildren, Isis Rexwinkler, J. Goleman, Joslyn Goleman, Preston Fuller, Payton Fuller, Bentley Fuller, Savannah Thompson, Bryce Thompson, Brady Thompson, Ava Thompson, Luke Thompson, McKenzie Simms, Mariah Simms and a host of nieces, nephews and friends that he loved dearly. Mr. Goleman is preceded in death by his father, James R. Goleman; mother, Nora McCoy; wife, Evon Goleman (mother of his children); six brothers, Armster Harrison, Clifton Harrison, Harvey Goleman, J.W. Goleman, O.C. Goleman, Webster Goleman; sister, Edna Mayberry; son, Larry Goleman; daughter, Sharon Goleman; grandsons, Jason Thompson and Donnie Goleman, Jr. and great granddaughter, Bailey Fuller. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Thompson, T.J. Goleman, Shane Goleman, Jimmy Garner, Doug Barton and Jerry Barton. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Goleman, III and Bro. Cliff Gee.
