Bodie Spicer and Bro. Paul Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, August 13, from 5 PM until 8 PM, at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Goyne, a 42 year retiree as an electrician at International Paper Company, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, and served as a deacon for over 25 years. He is a veteran of the United States Army and former president of the IBEW union. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and LSU football. His love was for his Lord, his family, his friends and his church. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Townsend Goyne; mother, Doris Reddick Goyne; daughter, Alicia Goyne Harrell; son-in-law, David J. Harrell; son, Daron “Bonz” Gene Goyne and wife Michelle; sisters, Barbara Sue Thompson, JoAnne Hughes, and husband Tommy; brother, Jimmy Goyne and wife Diane; grandchildren, Caleb Harrell, Chelsee Goyne, Bryar Goyne, Zachary Harrell; great grandchildren, Spencer Harrell, Addison Harrell, Sadie Harrell, and Jaxx Laing; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Goyne is preceded in death by his father, Dewey Lee Goyne; grandparents, Clyde and Mona Goyne, Grady P. And Cora Reddick; and special friend, Bob “Blue” Rallinson. Serving as pallbearers will be, David Harrell, Thomas “Brother” Musgrove, Sherman Thompson, Borden Townsend, Johnny Legg and Rodney Hopkins.
