Phyllis is survived by her brother; Charles Fontana (Doris), Mobile, AL; her seven children; Patricia Domino (Blase), Bastrop, LA; Phillip Grant (Linda), Fairhope, AL; Gregory Grant, (Christene) Navarre, FL; Gordon G. Grant III (Lisa) Monroe, LA; Gina Grant, (John Renda), Birmingham, AL; Peyton Grant (Deborah), Baton Rouge, LA; Prentiss Grant (Chrisy), Jackson, MS; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Phyllis was blessed with her dear friends; Patsy Fox, Jackie Mitchell and Anne Claire Stephenson; and her Godchild, Becky Fragala Dubea, Marksville, LA. Phyllis was preceded by her loving and devoted husband of forty-four years, Gordon Gregory Grant, Jr.; her son, Paul Edward Grant; and her parents, Arnold Fontana and Frances Correro Fontana; and her dear friend, Bob Quelette. Phyllis was born in Monroe, LA and graduated from Northeast Louisiana University where she met and married the love of her life. Phyllis lived in Bastrop where she raised her eight children. The greatest joy in Phyllis’ life was her family. Phyllis loved entertaining for friends and sharing her family’s Italian dishes. Phyllis’ lasagna was her signature dish, which was always requested by any visitor and which she lovingly prepared the week before going into the hospital. An avid LSU fan, a perfect weekend was a winning weekend for the Saints and LSU. Visitation will be held at Golden’s Funeral Home, Bastrop, LA, on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 pm with rosary immediately following. The funeral burial mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bastrop, LA , Monday, April 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Bastrop, LA. Pallbearers will be Paul Domino, G.G. Grant, IV, Christopher Grant, Taylor Grant, Kerry Elee, J.D Hixon, and Nathan Cain. The family would like to thank Dr. Charles Morgan and the medical staff on the 5th and 6th floor of St. Francis Medical Center.
