Griffis, 66, were held at 10 a.m Friday at West Side Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Sanders officiating. Interment was in Hickory Grove Cemetery near Crossett, Ark, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Mr. Griffis died Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital in Monroe after a long illness. He was a retired employee of International Parper Co. Louisiana Mill and was a member of West Side Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Floy Powell of Bastrop, Mrs. Jessie Freeman of Monroe, Mrs. Colleen Irwin of Houston, Texas; three sons, Calvin Griffis of Crossett, Clarence Griffis of Monroe and Ralph Griffis of Houston, Texas; two brothers J.C.
