MILTON GRIMES

BONITA - Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today for Milton Grimes, 44, of 
Bonita. The funeral was held at Cherry Hill No. 2 Baptist Church with the Rev. 
Elijah Brass officiating.

Interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of Union Funeral Home 
of Farmerville.

Mr Grimes died Thursday of an apparent heart attack. Survivors include four 
daughters, Mrs. Lorean Payne of Columbus, Ohio. Mrs. Laura Mitchell of Memphis, 
Tenn., Miss Dorothy Grimes of Bastrop,  Mrs. Candy Peterson of Mer Rouge; five 
sons, Melton Grimes Jr., Wayne Grimes, Ray Grimes, Melvin Grimes and David 
Grimes, all of Bastrop; two sisters, Mrs Minnie Mae Moore of Bonita and Mrs. 
Flora Gardner of Shreveport; eight brothers, Evans Grimes, Kennedy Grimes, James 
Grimes, Nelson Grimes, and Ray Grimes, all of Bonita. Trugwell Moore and Robert 
Lee Moore, both of Detroit, Mich., and Elbert Moore Jr. of German; several 
grandchildren, nieces and nephews
