Hall at his home in Bastrop, Louisiana on the morning of January 8, 2025. Danny was surrounded by his family as he departed his earthly life to his heavenly home in the presence of his Lord and Savior. Danny was born July 16, 1954 in Morehouse Parish to the late Ernest E. Hall and Quita Brixey Hall. He graduated from Bastrop High School in 1971 and after many career changes he enrolled and graduated from the Truck Driving Academy in Alexandria, Louisiana. He then began a 27 year career as a cross-country truck driver before retiring in 2023. During his career he earned many driving and safety awards and also achieved the Driver of the Year Award in 1997. Although he loved his chosen profession nothing was more important to Danny than God and family. He enjoyed reading his Bible and sitting in on a good conversation with family and friends. He was also known for striking up a conversation with total strangers. A devoted Christian, he loved to quote scripture. Danny married the love of his life, Karen Sue Garner, in 1977 and from this union he was blessed with a step-son and a daughter. Though Danny had many interest he loved nothing more than being home surrounded by his family. Danny is preceded in death by his step-son, Kevin Nelson; his parents Ernest E. Hall and Quita Brixey Hall Sebren; and his step-father, George Sebren. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Karen Sue Hall; daughter, Holly Hamberlin; three granddaughters, Raven Nelson, Baylee Nelson, and Cherokee Hamberlin; sister, Trudy Perry and her husband Rickey; brother, Toby Brown and his wife Gina; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family.
