HANDY Funeral services for Mr. Beverly “Biff” Bayles Handy III are scheduled for 11 A.M. Saturday, August 12, 2023, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Rev. Lisa Mayo and Rev. Marcelle Crow officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held, Friday, August 11, 2023 at Golden Funeral Home from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Mr. Handy, a retired agricultural engineer, and a resident of Collinston, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the age of sixty-six. He is preceded in death by his father, Beverly Bayles Handy, Jr.; grandparents, Jerd and Mattie Savage and Beverly Bayles Handy and Ethel Horton Handy. Survivors include his wife of two and a half years, Mrs. Peggy Sue Gill Handy; mother, Patricia Ann Savage Handy; daughter, Ruth Ann Handy Moore and husband Brian; sons, Dr. Adam Handy and wife Mel, Joseph Handy and wife Jessica; three step children, Ernest James Falgo II and wife Amanda, Andrew Blaize II and wife Sarah, Stacey Edward Blaize; brothers, John Handy, William Handy and wife Jill; grandchildren, Olivia, Owen and Amelia Moore, Adan Handy, Beverly Handy, Collin Handy, Evangeline Handy, Abram Handy and soon to arrive, Shepherd Handy. Mr. Biff Handy retired from N.R.C.S. after thirty years of service. He went to work for Ducks Unlimited after retirement. Biff was a member of Reily Memorial Methodist Church, of Collinston. He loved football and the game of Wahoo. He had a love for reading and working outside and spending time with his fur babies; Coco and Blue. Mr. Handy will be remembered as a caring person that would help anyone in need. His true passion in life was his family, faith and showing his support for his grandchildren in all of their sporting events. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Chris Carter, Jon Paul Carter, John David Pipes, Edward Turnbull, Adriaan Lategan and Albert Smith.
