On February 8, 2026 at St. Francis Hospital, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ sent his death Angel to release Travis from his suffering and pain and welcomed him into his new home. Travis attended the Morehouse Parish School System. Travis was the type of person that loved his family no matter what, and yes he talked about us all. He didn’t care if it was his mother, child, cousin, sister, aunt or just a friend, if he knew you he talked about you. He even talked about himself, but one thing was for sure and two things for certain no matter how he talked about us, he loved us all dearly, especially his mother and his children. He was the type of person that talked about you and then laughed at you, because you got mad. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ellen Marie Harris and Amos Harris. Travis leaves to cherishes his memories his loving mother and father Teresa Harris and Charles Nichols, St. (Ester), one son Travis Sylvester of Phoenix Arizona, Two daughters La’Shanit Sylvester and Montea Dowels both of Bastrop, Louisiana. One son and daughter that he raised as his own, Jakee and Serenity Sylvester. Two grandchildren Kenealled and Jahliyah Sylvester all of Bastrop, Louisiana. Three brothers, Charles Nichols, Jr. (La’Triece) of Riverview, Florida, Carlos Nichols Dycus(David) of Evansville Indiana, and Jarrius Nichols (Janet) of West Monroe, Louisiana. Two sisters, Samantha Smith (Jerry) of Monroe, Louisiana and Karen Edward (Johnny) of Shreveport, Louisiana. Five aunts; Rosie Robinson of Hampstead, New York, Lula Harris, May Harris, and Marie Harris, and a special aunt that he could call on at any time, Josanna Harris, all of Bastrop, Louisiana. Two uncles, Freddie Harris and Bennie Armstrong both of Bastrop. Several aunt’s, uncles, and cousins. A very special friend and her children Fairendo(Meiiko) Slater, Demarterrius Quarrels and Sicere Slater.
