BETTY JEAN HAWKINS

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jean Hawkins, age 82, are scheduled for 10 AM
Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church with Bro. Dennis Hackler
officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery under the direction
of Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hawkins, a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, passed away Monday, April
23, 2018. She loved her Lord, her family and her church family. Mrs. Hawkins had
the heart of a servant and was always assisting others in need. She was an
independent person and was extremely kind-hearted. Her joy was in doing for others.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Hawkins and wife Jackie of Stonewall, LA, Greg
Hawkins and wife Sandra of Vicksburg, MS, Andy Hawkins and wife Monica of
Buckner, AR; twin sister, Nadine Wilson of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Bob
Hawkins and wife Josi, James Hawkins and wife Melody, Ashley Hawkins, Chris
Hawkins and wife Anna, Katie Lasseigne and husband Garrett, Cory Hawkins and
wife Chassidy, Whitney Mackey and husband Brent, Drew Hawkins, Kirstie Dorman
and husband Jacob and fifteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Hawkins is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hawkins; parents,
Grover and Wilma Barr; brother, Bobby Barr; sister, Bonnie Breithaupt;
brothers-in-law, James Wilson and Robert Breithaupt.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Chris Hawkins, James Hawkins, Cory
Hawkins, Drew Hawkins, Brent Mackey, Jacob Dorman, Lynn Sanders and Jim Wilson.
Her honorary pallbearers are Bob Hawkins, the Deacons of Cherry Ridge Baptist
Church, her Sunday School Class and the Bell Choir.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 5 PM - 7 PM at
Cherry Ridge Baptist Church.
