Haynes, 88, of Wilmot, Ark. were held Wednesday, January 2, 2008 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home, Hamburg, Ark. with the Rev. Travis Roberts and the Rev. Gary Traylor officiating. Interment followed in Memorial Park Cemetery, Bastrop. Mrs. Haynes died Sunday, December 30, 2007. Mrs. Haynes was a native of Crossett, Ark. and a resident of Wilmot for over 70 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Zachary Baptist Church in Jones for 75 years, where she was the church treasurer and Sunday school teacher for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Vesper Haynes in 1986; her parents, Fulton and Bessie Haley Chambers; and a sister, Nelline Eldridge. She is survived by four sons, Fulton "Buddy" Haynes and wife, Annabelle of Eads, Tenn., V.H. Haynes and wife, Leota of Gillette, Billy Haynes of Wilmot and Randy Haynes and wife, Cindy of Jones; four daughters, Lonelle Johnston and husband, Larry of Monticello, Ark., Marcelle Olivera and husband, Wanderly of Dallas, Bonnie Cruce and husband, James of Monticello and Carolyn Elton and husband, Bill of Crossett; a brother, Charles Chambers and wife, Carolyn of Monroe, La.; seven granddaughters, Amiee Johnston Cloud and husband, Craig, Ashley Elton Lay, Anna Louise Haynes Myers and husband, Eric, Audrey Haynes, Meredith Mitchell Shirey and husband, Michael, Whitney Wilson and Marcy Haynes; five grandsons, Brad Haynes and wife, Leigh, Byron Haynes and wife, Monica, Michael Elton, Cliff and Tyler Haynes; four step-grandchildren, Marcy and Tonye Olivera, James Cruce III and Jamie Trantham; and seven great- grandchildren, Kaleigh and Kelsey Cloud, Rachel Shirey, Regan Lay, Bradley and Joshua Haynes and Joseph Myers. Pallbearers were Paul Chapman, Olan Haynes, Kenny Trucker, Chuck Chambers, Gary Grayson, Edmond Horton and Scott Travis. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Haynes, Raymond Horton and Dr. Robert Lyon.
