Newton Horne officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after the services at the home of John and Emily Risher, 10128 Arkansas St., Bastrop. Mrs. Hendershot died June 30, 2004 in Houston, Texas. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Tawney of Houston, Texas and Dorothy Barfield of Rock Hill, S.C.; three sons, Ford Hendershot Jr. of Idabel, Okla., William Hendershot of Groesbeck, Texas and Don Hendershot of Waynesville, N.C.; two sisters, Sadilee Dade of Mer Rouge and Jackie Carter of Reno, Nev.; one brother, Fred Moss of Mer Rouge and nine grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ford Hendershot Sr.; grandson, Jack Voss Smith and two sisters, Bernice Akers and Maude Pennington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to your local library. Kay Meredith A funeral mass will be held for Kay Meredith, 60, formerly of Bastrop, at 10 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Joseph Robert Inzina and Father John Kennedy officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, July 15 at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Meredith died July 13, 2004 following a lengthy illness. She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Inzina Reynolds and husband, Brian of Monroe; her brother, Biff Meredith and wife Peggy of Monroe and her special significant and best friend, Jimmy Inzina of Monroe. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Betty Meredith of Bastrop and her son, Clinton Meredith Inzina. Pallbearers will be Terry Hayes, Alan Meredith, Mark Meredith, Dr. Charles Sampognaro, Tim Meredith and Brian Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers will be Garner Mitchell and Charles Pritchard. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the National Fibromyalgia Association, 2200 N. Glassell St., Suite A, Orange, Calif. 92865.
