GENE HOLLAND

Funeral services for Gene Holland, 76, have been set for 2 p.m. Thursday 
February 27 at the Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Reverends Rawls Pierce, 
N.T. Smith and Roy Culp officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Golden 
Funeral Home.

Mr. Holland died Tuesday at his residence following a brief illness. He was a 
founding member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and a 47 year resident of Morehouse 
Parish.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lorene Holland; two sons, Gene N. Holland Jr. 
of Bastrop and Billie Don Holland of West Monroe; one daughter Mrs. Valdean 
Simpson of Bastrop; three sisters, Mrs. Ann Goforth of Little Rock, Mrs. Chloe 
Pollock of Hamburg and Mrs. Malberta Blake of Crossett; six grandchildren and 
three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are listed as Leland Davis, Robert Graves, Clem Bruce, Millard 
Woodall, Grover Stephenson and A.B. Christmas.
