Golden Funeral Home - January 2018
THERESA JOSEPH HOPKINS

Memorial services for Mrs. Theresa Joseph Hopkins are scheduled for 7 PM, 
Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. 
Fred Oden and Bro. Derek Williams officiating.  Visitation will begin at 6 
PM preceding the service.  

Mrs. Hopkins, age sixty-three, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2017, at 
her residence, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family.  
She was a wonderful homemaker and loved cooking for her family, and growing 
a garden as long as she was able.  She also served her country in the United 
States Air Force.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Joseph, mother, Freddie 
Nelson, and sister, Sharon Crum.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-one years, John Hopkins; daughters, 
Stacy Anderson and husband David, Lynne Mills and husband Terry, and Sylvia 
Harris; four grandchildren, Melissa Wheeler and husband Justin, Marliyn 
Harris, Kirstie Martin and husband Matt and Claire Johnson; six great-
grandchildren, Gavin Martin, Grayson Wheeler, Graham Wheeler, Griffyn 
Wheeler, Katie Harris, and Ryan Harris.

The family wishes to extend their heart-felt gratitude to Dr. James Smith 
and Heart of Hospice for taking such special care of their loved one.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to: St. Jude 
Children's Hospital or to the charity of your choice.
