CORNELIA "CORA" M. HOUGHLAND



Funeral services for Cornelia "Cora" M. Houghland are scheduled for 1 p.m. 

Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 

with the Rev. Herbert Haymond officiating. Burial will follow in the Carter 

Cemetery in Collinston under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation 

will be held from 5-7 p.m. today, Monday, Jan. 22, at the church.



 

 

Mrs. Houghland, 92, died Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Summerlin Lane Nursing Home 

in Bastrop. A homemaker, she was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of 

Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Houghland.



Survivors include Gene and Lawana Peery of Little Rock, Ark.; three 

grandchildren, Bill Peery of Conway, Ark., Mike Peery of Little Rock and John 

Swilling of Dallas, Texas; and one great-grandchild, Dylan Peery.



Serving as active pallbearers will be Bill Peery, Mike Peery, John Swilling, 

Donald Sadler, Cleatis Hemphill and Marvin Lowery. Honorary pallbearer will be 

Ronnie Pruitt.
