H.H. HUMPHREYS


Funeral services for Mr. H.H. "Jr." Humphreys, age 94, are scheduled for 3 PM
Sunday, April 22, 2018 with Bro. Leonard Posey, Bro. Dalyn Helbling and Bro. Ron
Elkins officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 PM - 3 PM service time
at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Humphreys, a farmer and member of First Church of God, passed away Thursday,
April 19, 2018 .
He is survived by his children, Betty Elkins and husband Ron of Bonita, LA,
Phyllis Shanas of Swartz; sister-in-law, Mavis Humphreys of Bonita, LA;
grandchildren, Van Elkins and wife Kelli, Adrienne Elkins Gunter, both of Oak
Grove, LA; Jason Shanas, Kyle Shanas, both of Monroe, LA; great grandchildren,
Whitney, Grant, and Cady, Lily Elkins, Jackson Gunter, Jacob Gunter, Lauren
Shanas and Taylor Shanas.
Mr. Humphreys is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Alma Watson Humphreys;
parents, Hosie and Beatrice "Hump" Humphreys; brother, W. R. "Billy" Humphreys;
son-in-law, Bob Shanas.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Van Elkins, Jason Shanas, Grant
McKnight, Ricky Boone, Dwain Humphreys, Ronald Hopkins, Jackson Gunter, Jacob
Gunter, Donald Glossup, Elroy Glossup and Homer Glossup.
