Billy Vaughn officiating. Intermet will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Hunt, a retired farmer and member of Bonita First Baptist Church, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2008 at Oak Woods Home for the Elderly. He was a United States Army veteran and member of the American Legion. Mr. Hunt was the operator at Schackelford Gin in Bonita for many years and was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by his wife, Mary Edwardine Hunt; daughter, Mary Ann Hunt- Sartori of The Woodlands, Texas; two brothers, Herbert Hunt and wife Trixie of Colorado Springs, Colo., James Hunt of Picayune, Miss.; five grandchildren, Jason Sartori, Denise Garcia and husband Johnny, Christopher Sartori, all of the Woodlands, Texas, Andrew Hunt of Bastrop, Nikki of West Monroe and one great granddaughter, Rebecca Garcia. Mr. Hunt is preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Minnie Hunt; two brothers, B.M. Hunt and Bevin Hunt; two sisters, Myra Hunt and Exa Lee Smith. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Sartori, Christopher Sartori, Johnny Garcia, Andrew Hunt, Billy Hunt and Lynn Sanders. Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
