Golden Funeral Home - August 2020
TODD JOHNSON

Funeral services for Mr. Todd Johnson, age 57 of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 10
AM Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Bonita Road Baptist Church with Bro. Kyle Bryan,
Bro. Tim Post and Bro. Rubin Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove
South Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson, a self-employed flooring specialist and long time member of Faith
Baptist Church, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020. He was the epitome of a family
man, who dearly loved his wife, children and grandchildren, who were his very heart.
He loved his Lord and Savior. Todd was one who loved the outdoors and had many great
memories of hunting and fishing with family and friends. He held Bro. Paul “Preach”
Carter in the highest regard for all he mentored him in concerning “running nets”
but most especially in his walk with the Lord. His greatest role was being
“Pawdaddy” to his grandchildren. Even as he began to feel bad, he was still ready to
try to do anything they wanted to do.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Sherri Johnson; mother, Ruth
Johnson Sivils and husband Stanford; daughter, Abbey Ganey and husband Michael; son,
Jake Johnson and wife Whitley; sister, Karen Hayes and husband Jim; brother, Mike
Johnson and wife Lori; mother-in-law, Mary Bowen; grandchildren, Bowen Ganey, Janee
Ganey, Sadie Ganey, Braxten Ganey, Scarlett Johnson, Ella Johnson; great
grandchildren, Evelyn Ganey and Mickey Savage; and numerous nieces and nephews that
meant so much to him.

Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his father, Lester Johnson; grandparents,
Lawrence and Minnie Johnson and Chester and Lucy Fairchild; and father-in-law, Clark
Bowen.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Donnie Tillman, Eric Diffey, Gerald
Lester, Jamie Walker, Larry Ford, Randy Winnon, Colby Daugherty, and Caleb
Daugherty.

Honorary pallbearers are Paul Fragala, Heath Eppinette and Brian Eppinette.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, August 4, 2020 from 5:00 PM - 7 PM at the
church.
