BASTROP DAILY ENTERPRISE - FEBRUARY 13, 1975
HERBERT JOHNSON

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Morehouse's Funeral 
Home of Bastrop for Herbert Johnson, who died Tuesday morning in  Morehouse 
General Hospital after a long illness. The Rev. J.E. Lawson will officiate.

Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery in Bastrop under the direction of 
Morehouse Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson lived in Bastrop for approximately 50 years and was a member of St. 
John Baptist Church. He was a retired cook, having worked many years at the 
Louisiana Hotel in Bastrop.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Essie Sargent, of Little Rock Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Melvin L. Smith, Henry Watkins, C.M. Whaley, Sam Smith and 
Wilbert Johnson.
