Marion is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Lena Mae Johnson; his wife of 60 years, Shirley Ann Johnson; his daughter, Donna Lynn Fleming; his brothers, Clifton Johnson, David Johnson, Lonnie Johnson, Charles Johnson, and Jerry Johnson; and his sisters, Marie DeWitt and Lula Bell Suire. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Bonita Road Baptist Church and retired from International Paper Company with 37 years of service. He will be forever cherished as a devoted and much loved husband, father, and grandfather. His kindness and friendship are cherished memories by all fortunate to have known him. Marion is survived by his son, Kenneth Todd Johnson and wife Leslie Nicole Johnson of Schoolcraft, Michigan; grandsons, Dylan Todd Johnson of Beekman, Louisiana and Tyler Scott Jennings and wife Hannah Jennings; great- grandchildren, Evelynn Ann Johnson, Emersyn Claire Jennings, Brilynn Marie Jennings, and Elliot Scott Jennings. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Mark Fleming; and sisters, Jean Hostetter, Earnestine Odom and husband Elton, Eloise Litton and husband Danny, and brother, Billy Johnson. A time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Bonita Road Baptist Church followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM at the church with Bro. Casey Johnson officiating. Committal services and interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. Serving as pallbearers for Mr. Johnson are Al Rea, Ricky Gross, Robert Matson, Ricky Hudson, James Cunningham, and Thomas O' Connell. Honorary pallbearers are members of "The Coffee Drinking Crew."
