Jim Brent officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, January 23 at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson, a homemaker, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Comfort House in McAllen, Texas. She was an active member of the Womens Missionary Council for many years in Bastrop and regularly participated in donating to the Hillcrest Childrens Home in Hot Springs, Ark. Mrs. Lessie is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Woodie B. Johnson, her parents Francis W. Workman and Abbie Welch Workman, two sisters Irene Allison and Becky Kempert. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter Sharon Lindsay Harris and her husband Doug of McAllen, Texas; three sons Tommy D. Johnson and his wife Dorothy of Mountain View, Ark., Jerry W. Johnson and his wife Barbara of Jacksonville, Ark., Ricky Johnson and his wife Tammy of Bastrop; two sisters Hattie Sydor of Amarillo, Texas, Louize Workman of Lawton, Okla.; two brothers, Jim Workman of Fort Smith, Ark., and Wayne Workman of Kentucky; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
