Golden Funeral Home - April 2019
LINDA GAYLE JOHNSTON

Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Gayle Johnston are scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
Wednesday, April 24, 2019, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Dalyn
Helbling officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The
visitation will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
at Goldens.

Mrs. Johnston, a retiree of the Morehouse Parish School Board, passed away
Sunday, April 21, 2019, at the age of 65. She was a member of First Church of
God in Bastrop.  Her grandchildren were her heart, and she was theirs!  She
loved being around people, talking, storytelling, and she was always happy.

Mrs. Johnston is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Tommy “Bo”
Johnston; daughter, Nicole White and husband Damon of Bossier, LA; son, Brandon
Johnston and wife Christina of Sterlington, LA; sisters-in-law, Becky Yates and
Dee Yates of Bastrop, LA; brother-in-law, B.W. Johnston of El Dorado, AR;
grandchildren, Kylie White, Brayden White, Addyson White, Kaitlynn Johnston, and
Landon Johnston.

She is preceded in death by her parents, O.Z. and Herman Yates; brothers, Donald
Yates and Shelby Yates; and sisters-in-law, Margie Faye McCrary and Betty Jean
Linzay, and nephew, Stephen Ray “Goob” Yates.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Turner, Spence Turner, Brandon Wooten,
Brayden White, Kegan Bretton, and Jeremy Rhodes.
