MERRIE MCDOWELL JONES


Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Merrie (McDowell) Jones, age 79, of Idabel, OK
are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev.
Justin Akers officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday
at Golden Funeral Home, Bastrop, LA. 

Mrs. Jones, a homemaker, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2016 in Texarkana, Texas. She
enjoyed reading, cooking and collecting cookbooks.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her three sons, Mike Jones and wife Janice of Valliant,
OK, Rodney Jones and Judy Allen of Idabel, OK, Tom Jones and wife Carla of Idabel,
OK; two brothers, Norman McDowell and Gorman McDowell both of Bastrop, LA; five
grandchildren, Cody Jones, Kyle Jones, Crissy Jones, James Jones, Dawn Jones and
three great grandchildren, Mackenzie Jones, Kylar Crites and Easton Jones.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James "Bones" Jones.
