PATSY J. JONES

A graveside funeral service for Patsy J. "P.J." Jones will be held at 2 PM 
Friday, February 27, 2026, at Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of 
Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday, at Golden Funeral 
Home, beginning at 12 PM.

Mrs. Jones, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, 
at the age of eighty-four. She was a member of Greenacres Baptist Church and 
founding member of the Cotton Country Quilters. Mrs. Jones retired from the 
Bastrop Daily Enterprise as Editor, and was very active in serving her 
community. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, James T. Jones; 
daughter, Tara Leigh Jones; son, Jeffrey J. Jones, and wife Magaly; sister, 
Brenda Lewis, and husband George; brother, Larry Jones, and wife Paula; 
grandchildren, Brittany Leigh Sims, and husband Thomas, Krystal Tarr, Shannon 
Wyatt, Jamie Jones; and great-grandchildren, Troy Tarr, Alexander Tarr, and Luka 
Wyatt.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Raymond and Bernice Jones.
