Delton Jordan Jr., 84, of Bastrop will be held Friday, Feb. 20, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Alan Eppinette and Delton Jordan Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at Harmony Baptist Church, Thursday, Feb. 19 starting at 6 p.m. Jordan, a retired Baptist minister, died Wednesday, Feb. 18 at North Monroe Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Jordan, son-in-law, Ken Taylor and son, Paul Jordan. He is survived by eight daughters, Lucille Gee and husband, Harry of Bastrop; Barbara Powell of Monroe; Linda Brumley and husband, Frank of Crossett, Ark.; Janie Turnbow and husband, Andy of Bastrop; Kay Taylor of Bastrop; Tammy Musgrove and husband, Greg of Bastrop; Katherine Garner of Crossett, Ark. and Rachel Moore of Transylvania; three sons, Delton "Bubba" Jordan Jr., and wife, Shelia of Farmerville; Carroll Jordan of Greenwood, Miss., and Adrian Jordan of Hattiesburg, Miss.; 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and close friend, Lavon Jordan. Jordan's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Jordan also served as pastor of Horseshoe Baptist Church of 17 years. The family requests memorials be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
