Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening, September 12th, from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Jefferson Ray Judkins was born November 27, 1946 in Bastrop, Louisiana to the late Jefferson Davis Judkins and Edith Ridener Judkins. He died Wednesday, September 9, 2008 at Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop. He is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Margaret Morrison, Joyce Smith, and JoAnn Dees. Ray was a member and deacon of Faith Baptist Church and a retired route salesman for Frito-Lay. He loved the outdoors especially during the fall when he looked forward to deer hunting season. Mr. Judkins is survived by his wife of forty years, Voncele Judkins of Bastrop; his two daughters, Pam Armstrong and her husband, Craig Armstrong of Collinston, Tammy Cooper and her husband, Mike Cooper of Crossett, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Zac Nolan and Hali Bearden; a twin brother, Roy Judkins and his wife Laura Judkins of Bastrop, brother, Gary Judkins and his wife Joyce Judkins of Calhoun, Louisiana; two sisters, Shirley Johnson and her husband, Marion Johnson of Bastrop, and Vickie Zeman and her husband, Larry Zeman of Memphis, Tennessee. Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Goyne, Kent Caskey, Randy Bowen, DeVon Hayes, L.M. McIntyre, Willis Wilkerson, and Clark Bowen.
