Don Bryan and Rev. Mike Loveday officiating. Interment will follow in the Bonita Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Kitchens, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War where he received the Purple Heart Award. Mr. Kitchens also loved hunting and fishing. Mr. Kitchens is preceded in death by his fathers, Leroy Bryan, Floyd Vernon Kitchens; and a brother, Leslie Bryan. Mr. Kitchens is survived by his wife, Camille Kitchens; mother, Julia Bryan; two daughters, Mindy Heath and husband Henry of Bastrop, LA, Christy Benge and husband Gary of Amarillo, TX; one step-daughter, Pamela Steele and husband Eddie of Paducah, KY; one son, Leo Kitchens and wife Fran of Bastrop, LA; two step-sons, Mickey McCarty of West Monroe, LA, Robby McCarty of West Monroe, LA; one sister, Mary Fisher of Corpus Christi, TX; one brother, Thomas Bryan and wife Angela of Bastrop, LA; five grandchildren, William Dalton Heath, James Michael Wells, Kristen Kay Wells, Katelyn Nicole Kitchens, John Frank Kitchens; seven step-grandchildren, Alesha Withers, Aaron McCarty, Wesley Ford, Ethan Ford, Trevor Ford, Summer Washington, Justin McCarty; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at Golden Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Miller, Curtis Brown, Shayne Bryan, Kevin Herrington, Billie Gorman and Kurt West. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Robinette and Derek Robinette.
