Tim Post officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. service time Sunday. Mrs. Kitchens was born on June 13, 1929, in Lillie, LA, to Archie Bunyan Murray and Izella Elizabeth Henderson Murray. She was married on August 7, 1946, to Willie Morrell (W.M. or Billy) Kitchens in Oak Grove, LA. She passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018, at the age of 88. Mrs. Kitchens is survived by her children, Carl Edward Kitchens, Janice Carroll and Lynn Wall; six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Kitchens; parents, Archie and Lizzie Murray; children, Johnnie Mae Pitarro, and Dennis Ray Kitchens. Mrs. Kitchens loved fishing for white perch until they could no longer go, and then, fishing for catfish out of their own ponds. She always stayed busy inside cooking, sewing, embroidery, quilting and crocheting. Mrs. Kitchens was always there to help daddy (Billy Kitchens) outside with the gardening, mowing or lending a hand with anything. She loved gardening and had a "green thumb," keeping her plants alive when no one else could. Mrs. Kitchens turned to reading and word finds when she couldn’t move much anymore. She loved her Lord and was happy when daddy (Billy Kitchens) finally accepted Christ and they could attend church together at Bethel Baptist Church. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Baker, Jason Branch, Shane Switzer, Mike Hinton, Gayle Riles, Bobby Riles, Ronnie Dillion, and Billy Reynolds.
