Interment will follow in Earnest Cemetery in Tinsman, AR at 3:30 PM under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Rainwater, a resident of Bastrop and a homemaker, went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 15, 2016. Doris was born on October 2, 1926 in Vick, Arkansas. She was valedictorian of her High School Class in Tinsman, AR. Doris was a wonderful, loving mom of six boys and one daughter. All of her grandchildren were complete joys in her life and she enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. Doris enjoyed to travel and got to visit several places in the United States and made a trip to Bermuda. In all her travels there was not one person that she wouldn't start a conversation with. Doris was a member of Bastrop First Church of God and a member of the American Legion Women's Auxillary. She also enjoyed reading her Bible, fishing and watching any sports. Mrs. Rainwater is survived by six children, Randal R. Rainwater and wife Pat of Bastrop, LA, Thomas H Rainwater, Jr. and wife Lisa of Baton Rouge, LA, Joe B. Rainwater, Sr. of Bastrop, LA, Chris E. Rainwater and wife Melinda, of Gainesville, FL, Carla G. Costigan of Brick, NJ, Paul W. Kitchens of Bastrop, LA; one sister, Vivian Hand of El Dorado, AR; one brother, Randal Lamar Kitchens and wife Brenda of El Dorado, AR; twelve grandchildren, Joe B. Rainwater, Jr. and wife Donna, Krystal D. Ray and husband Chris, Dustin L. Rainwater, Chelsea E. Rainwater, Christopher Rainwater, Tyler Rainwater, Evan Rainwater, Nathan M. Anthony, Dru G. Thomas, Courtney H. Kitchens, Kaitlyn Carter, Sharon Williams and husband Curtis; twelve great grandchildren, Joe B. Rainwater III (Trey), Ryder C. Rainwater, Kara L. Cox and husband Dillion, Mariah Burchell, Gabriella Ray, Dillin L. Rainwater, Anna E. Rainwater, Harlow A. Rainwater, Amelia M. Thomas, Ollie Bagby and wife Christine, Stacy Yeldell and husband Brad, Ellie Mae Ray; seven great great grandchildren, Krystian, Jaxton and Krystine Cox, Olivia and Rylan Bagby, Colton and Cailey Yeldell; several step nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends whom she knew and loved. Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Rainwater, Chris Rainwater, Joe "Trey" Rainwater, III, Paul Kitchens, Christopher Rainwater and David Hester. Mrs. Rainwater is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hulon Rainwater, Sr.; son, Charles K. Rainwater; parents, Jessie and Effie Kitchens; four stepsons; one stepdaughter; grandson, Randal Ray Rainwater II; step grandson, Christopher A. Jarreau; son-in-law, Thomas F. Costigan; brother, James K. Kitchens and brother-in-law, Oder Hand. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 PM until 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
