She passed away peacefully on the morning of May 13, 2023 at her home in Collinston, Louisiana. Mrs. Jacquelyn Lee, affectionately known also as "Jackie", was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Bastrop and a retired customer service receptionist with Friendly Finance. She was also a member of the Morehouse General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and a "Red Hatter". Jacquelyn was a graduate and member of the Bastrop High School Class of 1957 and she remained close with her classmates and many friends from school. Jackie enjoyed working in her yard and she held an endearing love for her family. She was the matriarch of her family and she will be forever loved in their hearts and cherished in their many memories. Along with her parents, Jackie is preceded in death by her husbands, Ernest Boies and Dan Lee; infant daughter, Jennifer; granddaughter, Kelly Christine Boies; and her brother, Jerry Wayne Harper. She is survived by her three children, Debby Tubbs and her husband, Mike, Scott Boies and his wife, Jackie, and Bob Boies and Kim Porter; seven grandchildren, Jill Essex and her husband, Matt, Josh Tubbs and his wife, Lynda, Corey Boies and his wife, Chelsea, Nick Boies, Emily Boies, Cameron Boies, Chandler Boies; eight great-grandchildren, Ian, Chloe, Clayton, Acadia, Lincoln, Luke, Beaux, and Alyssa; her sister, Betty Parker and her husband, Guy; nephew, Tommy Parker and his wife, Cynthia; niece, Rachel Combetta and her husband, Jeff; and seven great-nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation and fellowship beginning at 9:30 AM Thursday, May 18, 2023 followed by funeral services, celebrating her life, at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. A private family gathering will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. Serving as Mrs. Lee's pallbearers are Josh Tubbs, Nick Boies, Corey Boies, Chandler Boies, Cameron Boies, Clayton Tubbs, Tommy Parker, and Jeff Combetta.
