HAROLD GENE LINZAY


Graveside funeral services for Mr. Harold Gene Linzay, of Bastrop, will be held
at 11 AM, Friday, August 3, 2108, at Stevenson Cemetery, with Bro. Ronnie
Thompson officiating.
Mr. Linzay, a retired employee of Texas Gas, passed away Wednesday, August 1,
2018, at the age of ninety. He was a member of the Vaughn Church of God.  A
second career field that Mr. Linzay truly enjoyed was digging water wells. 
The family would like to send heart-felt gratitude to Dr. Mike Smith and the
wonderful staff of Lagniappe Health Care.
Mr. Linzay is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Ruby Linzay; daughter,
Ramona Davis; grandson, Justin Davis; and great grandchildren, Destiny Davis and
Stephen Davis.
Mr. Linzay is preceded in death by his father, Rev. Roy Linzay; mother, Ertie
Lee Linzay; brother, David Roy Linzay; and a sister, Bonnie Richardson.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Ross Riles, Gayle Rogers, J.E. Wood,
and Gary Parish. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Wilkerson, and the Texas Gas Boys.
