Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. Visitation with the family was Tuesday evening, August 26th, from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. Mrs. Francis Virginia Lloyd was born December 24, 1929 in Monticello, Ark. and she died Monday, August 25, 2008 at her residence in Bastrop. She is preceded in death by her parents Harvey Goyne and Sarah Deal Goyne; two brothers, Garvin and Carl Goyne, and a brother-in-law, Ronnie Carpenter. Mrs. Lloyd was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church in Bastrop and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a longtime employee of Lois Style Shop, Snyder's Department Store, and the Fashion Shop. Mrs. Lloyd was a devoted wife, loving mother, and MeMe. Mrs. Virginia Lloyd is survived by her husband of 61 years, R.W. Lloyd of Bastrop; two daughters, Sandra Solomon and husband Mike Solomon of Bastrop and Vicki Gray and husband Danny Gray of Benton, Ark.; a sister, Athlean Carpenter of Valley Junction, Ark.; eight grandchildren, Todd Solomon and wife Kasey of Bastrop, Dede Smith and husband David of Bastrop, Brooke Hobby and husband KC of Benton, Ark., Jason Hall and wife Rhea Ann of Sheridan, Ark., Clinton Gray of Benton, Ark., Jeremy Gray and wife Christina of Benton, Ark., Casey Greene of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and Bill Gray of Benton, Ark.; seventeen great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers are Ricky Carpenter, Leon Lloyd, Michael Lloyd, Monty Shockey, Ricky Boone, and Flint Robertson. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Lloyd and Ernest Rainbolt. The family extends a special "thank you" to Dr. Robert Lyon and the nurses and staff of Tru Care Home Health and Premiere Hospice for the care and concern extended to our wife, mother, and family.
