MARGARET JOAN LOWERY

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Joan “Jo Ann” Lowery, age 86, of Bastrop, 
LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Chapel of Golden 
Funeral Home with Revs. Andy Myrick and Phillip McCready officiating. 
Interment will follow in Bonita Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 
p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Golden Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lowery, a retired beautician and nurses aid, passed away Sunday, May 
14, 2017 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care Center. She was a member of Cherry Ridge 
Baptist Church. Mrs. Lowery was also a cake decorator and loved reading and 
doing arts and craft projects.

She is survived by her children, Gregg Huff of Bastrop, LA, John Michael 
Huff and wife Yvonne of Richardson, TX, Elicia J. Huff of West Monroe, LA, 
William Lemier Sanders and wife Nanette of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, 
Jessie Huff, Rachel Johnson, Sydney Sanders, Zachary Sanders, Nicholas 
Sanders; great grandchildren, Benjamin Johnson, Sadie Rose Johnson and David 
Huff.

Mrs. Lowery is preceded in death by husbands, Ellis Huff, William Sanders, 
Charles Lowery; parents, Orville and Ozelle McCready and a brother, Bill 
McCready.
