Golden Funeral Home - September 2020
BETTY JEAN LOYLESS

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jean Loyless, age sixty-nine, will be held 
Friday, October 2, 2020 at Bethel Baptist Church at 3 PM, with Bro. Tim Post 
officiating. Interment will follow in Beekman Cemetery.

Mrs. Loyless, a resident of Bastrop and a homemaker, was a member of Bethel 
Baptist Church. She loved her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 
and she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as well as her church 
family. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially bream fishing, and shopping was 
also a favorite pastime. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jean Reed and Clarence Reed; and a 
son, Eric Wilkinson.

Mrs. Loyless is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Loyless, Jr.; a 
daughter, Melanie Browning and husband Will; a son, Allen Wilkinson; 
stepsons, David Loyless and wife Emma, and Jonathan Loyless; a sister, 
Dorothy Rietzke and husband Rick; a brother, Ronnie Reed and wife Geraldine; 
eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and 
nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be the deacons of Bethel Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Friday from 1 PM until 3 PM at the church
