Golden Funeral Home - January 2015
BETTY JEAN NICHOLS LANGSTON

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jean Nichols Langston are scheduled for 2 P.M.
Saturday, January 31, 2015, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle
Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. Visitation will be
held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 30, 2015 at Golden's.

Mrs. Langston, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015.
She was a retired employee of Louisiana Power and Light, a former Teacher's Aide and
a longtime member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Langston had many hobbies
including working in her yard, singing and being with her family. She enjoyed
people, had a generous heart and loved doing for others.

Mrs. Langston is survived by her daughter, Barbara Langston Brady and husband John
of Panama City Beach, FL; sons, Mike Langston and wife Tracy of Downsville, LA, and
Mark Langston of Los Angeles, CA; brothers, Charlie Nichols and wife Sherry of
Bastrop, LA, and Jim Nichols of Donaldsonville, LA; sister, Carolyn Ann Miller and
husband Wendell of Oneonta, AL; grandchildren, Jeff Parrott and wife Angel of
Shreveport, LA, Jared Parrott of West Monroe, LA, Jennifer Parrott of Panama City
Beach, FL, Lyndsey Langston of Meridian, MS, and Taylor Langston of Baton Rouge, LA;
great grandchildren, Hailey Parrott, Jessica Parrott, Emily Parrott of Decatur, AL,
and Jordan Parrott of Shreveport, LA.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Sydney Lee Langston, Jr.; brother, Bill
Nichols; parents, Frank Nichols and Velma Nichols.

Serving as pallbearers will be Taylor Langston, Jeff Parrott, Jared Parrott, Luke
Moore, Ben Bridges and Jarrod Jacob.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Langston, Jack Langston, Jr., Brian Martin,
Henry Langston, Lynn Langston and Russ Langston.

The family of Mrs. Langston would like to give thanks to Dr. Cox and his staff,
Premier Hospice, and Oak Woods Nursing Home for all of their loving help and
support.

The family would also like to give thanks to two of Mrs. Langston's very special
friends, Jaquelyn Gray and Lora Sanders for being such a blessing to this family in
more ways than they can count.
