Paul Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Start Cemetery in Start, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home-Rayville. Mr. Malone was born on January 24, 1932 in Start and passed from this life on May 13, 2016 in Bastrop. He was a member of First Baptist Church Bastrop, a member of are Mt. Gerrzim #54 F&AM, Barrak Temple of Kerbela Shriners, York Rite Monroe Commandary No. 7, Knight Templer; Monroe No. 8 CM and Monroe No. 18 RAM. He served in the Air Force in the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents-Reppo and Bessie Louise Sharp Malone; his wife-Twila Mae Malone; two sisters-Regena Malone and Nell Blazier; two brothers-Dick Malone and Bud Malone. He is survived by son-Francis Russell Malone, Jr. of Rayville; daughter- Rebecca Elizabeth Malone Moak and husband Thomas A. Moak, III of Seymour, TN; two granddaughters-Stephanie Diane Malone Thomas and Susannah Elizabeth Malone Stull of McKinney, TX; two grandsons-James Lucas Moak of Lansing, MI and Andrew Wiley Moak of Murfreesboro, TN; two great granddaughters-Abigail Nicole Thomas of Monroe and Ramcy Jo Stull of McKinney, TX; two sisters-Bonnie Acre of West Monroe and Patsy Stringer of Jackson, MS; a brother-David "Sweetie": Malone of Start, LA; and a host of other family and friends. Pallbearers will be Jim Moak, Andy Moak, Jay Waggoner, Kelly Winnon, Chris Craighead, Roger Craighead, Hunter Malone, and Jonathan Malone. Honorary pallbearers are Dennis Malone, Red Craighead, and Bob McGowen. Visitation will be from 12:00PM till service time in the Mulhearn Chapel.
