A memorial celebration of the life of Max Walter Massee will be held at 10 
a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004 at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. Friends and 
family are invited to atten and celebrate and visit with the family.

Max was born in Whitehall, New York on October 29, 1917. He died at North 
Monroe Medical Center on August 8, 2004. As to his wishes, his body was given 
to scientific research at the University of Texas at Houston. He loved people 
and had compassion for their illnesses and hoped to help through research.

Transplanted by military service as a pilot in World War II, Max became a 
southenor and an avid hunter and fisherman. He and his wife have made their 
home in this area for the past 61 years.

He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Dorothy; one daughter, Georgia Amerson 
and husband, James of Bastrop; one son, Ned Massee and wife, Nell of 
Fairfield, Conn.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Institute at 225 North Michigan, suite 1700 Chicago, Ill. 60601-7633, or to 
the charity of your choice
