A time of visitation will be held Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 5 PM until 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home. Billie was 84 years old, and peacefully went home to be with the Lord on March 3, 2026, with family by her side. Billie was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was known for being a loving and caring woman who loved her family dearly. She loved serving her community and her church family. Billie loved to cook, often cooking for the community and her church family. Billie loved flowers and wanted her flowers and yard always looking perfect. She loved to plant a garden so she could provide for her family and community. Billie met the love of her life and married Harry O'Neil Mayo on August 29, 1961. In 1962, Billie and Harry joined the La-Ark community and that's where their journey began. Billie is survived by her four children, Monica Mayo Talley, Tracy O'Neil Mayo (Rebekah), Amy Mayo Hobbs (Jimmie), and Jennifer Mayo Harper; grandchildren, Justin Overacker, Chelsea Talley, Garrett Hobbs, Tristen Mayo (Sarah), Nicholas Mayo, Madison Hobbs, and Harrison Martin; great- grandchildren, Olivia Talley, Hudson Talley, Rowyn Talley, and Liam Mayo; sister, Martha Edmiston; brother, Ed Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Mayo; parents, Griffin and Ora Jones; sisters, Gloria Cooper, Willie White; and brothers, Jessie Jones, James Jones, Griffin Jones, Jr. and Marcellus Jones. Serving as pallbearers will be Tristen Mayo, Garrett Hobbs, Nicholas Mayo, Harrison Martin, Chess Bass, and Jimmie Hobbs. Honorary pallbearers are Leland Pruitt, Darin Pruitt, and Michael Pruitt. The family will like to give a special thanks to Von Moore for caring for their precious mother.
