FLORA MCDANIEL

Funeral services for Mrs. Flora McDaniel will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, 
March 20, 2010, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with the Rev. Cal Adams 
and the Rev. Dale Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Cherry 
Cemetery in Mangham. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. 
Friday at Golden Funeral Home. 

Mrs. McDaniel, age 95, of Bastrop passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Oak 
Woods Home for the Elderly. She was a retired nurses aid and a member of 
Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. Mrs. McDaniel enjoyed fishing. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur McDaniel; daughters, Gladys 
Davis and Gertrude McDaniel; son, Sidney McDaniel; parents, Henry and Liddie 
Edmondson; brother Eli Edmondson; sister, Mable Rodgers; and favorite cousin, 
Celestine Middlebrooks. 

Mrs. McDaniel is survived by one daughter, Margie Beach and husband Tim of 
Bastrop; two sons, Everett McDaniel of Beekman and Jerry McDaniel and wife 
Bonnie of Colfax; sister-in-law, Juanita Harrison of Portland, Ore.; 20 
grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren; and a host of 
nieces and nephews. 

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
