VINNIE MCDOWELL BONITA - Funeral services for Mrs. Vinnie Mae McDowell, 83, of Bonita, have been set for 3:30 p.m Thursday in Golden Funeral Chapel in Bastrop with the Rev. Euel Philpot officiating. Interment will be in the Bonita Cemetery. Mrs. McDowell died about 4:30 p.m Tuesday at her residence after a brief Illness. A member of the Bonita Baptist Church, Mrs. McDowell has lived in Bonita for 54 years. She was the widow of the late G.R. "Bob" McDowell who served as a parish deputy sheriff for many years. She was a native of Ashley County, Arkansas. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James E. Hale and Mrs. James E.
