Jones McGuire Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys L. Jones McGuire, 95, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2009 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Ingram and Dr. L.H. McCollough officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church. Mrs. McGuire, a member and former Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church, passed Friday, May 8, 2009 at her residence. She is survived by her son, N. Keith McGuire and wife Judith of Bastrop, LA; daughter in-law, Billie Jo McGuire of Fayetteville, AR; sister, Lillace Adcock of Bastrop, LA; four grandchildren, N. Kelly McGuire of Fairbanks, LA, Donell Daniel of Maumelle, AR, Melinda Jenkins of Fayetteville, AR, Cheryl Emerick of Cincinnati, OH; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. McGuire is preceded in death by her husband, Loye Z. McGuire; son, Don L. McGuire; parents, Wyley Washington Jones and Susan Viola Jones; five sisters, Ethel Clark, Irma Mercer, Lula Thomas, Cinda McGuire, Avanell Gay and a brother, Julious Jackson Jones. Serving as pallbearers are: Terry Williams, Elva Greer and Wayne Philley. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of First Baptist Church.
